Not many people are fan of the whole bland look of iOS, or even the default font. Luckily, there is a way to tweak some little things without the need to jailbreak your phone, like the default font in the Text Messages app on your iPhone. It really is no wonder that the default font proves a little too tiny to be easily readable and here’s how to make it larger.
Note: Do keep in mind that increasing text size means it will be increased all throughout iOS in stuff like message browser screen, text-input box, text in email body and subjects, Calendars, Contacts, and Notes and sending/receiving messages.
- First of all, fire up the Settings app and go to General > Accessibility
- Tap on “Large Text”.
- Choose your desired text-size. (Off means the default font size)
If your iDevice runs on iOS 7, then achieving this will be a little different.
For iOS 7:
- Go to Settings > General and then “Text Size”.
- Adjust the slider to get the exact font size that you want.
