Analyst Says: Apple To Release Larger iPhone 6 Next Year

Apple’s iPhone 5 has been doing a pretty good business since it got released back in September last year but it looks like the next iPhone is going to be released as early as this June, as claimed by a document from a Japanese Carrier leaked yesterday. The upcoming iPhone is likely going to be called iPhone 5S and wouldn’t be as big a change as iPhone 5 was coming from iPhone 4S, but analysts are aiming towards a larger iPhone coming in 2014.

iPhone 5 was the first phone from Apple since the original one that got a much bigger screen size of 4 inches. It also got some design changes like a redesigned Aluminum and Glass back so the iPhone 5S would likely be a minor upgrade. According to analysts, the iPhone 6, which would be released next year, would have been pretty large when compared to current gen-iPhone.
Here’s what Peter Misek, an analyst from Jefferies & Company, has to say about it,
”Apple Inc. will likely launch a larger screen iPhone 6 in June 2014, according to Jefferies analyst Peter Misek. While this may seem like an eternity for fans of the popular smartphone, he explains the wait is due to the time required to transition the device’s display technology.”
Apple really isn’t fan of following the trend of “Bigger is better” as done by Android manufacturers but it really did cave in with the release of iPhone 5 so it really is possible that Tim Cooks’ team might change their plans for the company’s better future.
