Apple is still a long way from announcing it's next generation iPhone but already the rumour mill is churning at it's fastest. The latest report indicated that the iPhone 5 might have a HD FaceTime camera. Currently the iPhone 4S does not have said HD camera.
Kuo has predicted that Apple is going to make quite a few essential adjustments to the iPhone. Apart from radically redesigning the whole device, the company will also employ a flip-chip (FC) solution for the front-facing camera on the upcoming iPhone. This chip solution will make HD FaceTime camera for iPhone 5 possible. The camera's position would be moved to the middle, according to this analyst.
As always, we can't be really sure until Apple makes the official announcements. The company is also expected to include a 12 megapixel back camera in it's next generation iPhone. According to the rumours received up till now, the release of this smartphone will take place in October 2012.
