We're all anxiously waiting for the release of iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. At this point in time, the jailbreak developers have given no particular time frame for the release. However earlier today they have teased the possibility of a release at HITB SecConf In Amsterdam.
Pod2g has written on his blog earlier today that the release might take a couple of weeks because the jailbreak, which has been confirmed to work, has to be packaged in a user friendly tool. Though he teased the possibility that iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak release might take place at HITB SecConf 2012 in Amsterdam. He wrote the following:
It's like something big's going to happen at HITB related to jailbreakingThe conference itself is merely a couple of weeks away from now. Jailbreaking royalty will be present at this conference so it really would make sense for a release to take place there. Pod2g will be presenting at the event, so will be P0sixninja, Pimskeks, PlanetBeing and MuscleNerd.
No more to say ;-)
It's still time to register if you want to be there.I would be around, and lot of people of the iOS security field !
See you there.
iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak can been confirmed to work on iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, New iPad, iPod touch 4G and Apple TV 2G. Sadly the jailbreak is not working as yet on iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 3G. Here's to hoping that Pod2g release this jailbreak at HITB SecConf 2012.
