Twitter is the second most widely used social network in the world. It has close to 350 million global users, and that number continues to grow each day. Twitter is generally used through mobile devices, and the service makes sure it's mobile apps provide an enchanting experience. A new Twitter for iPhone update has been released which brings notifications improvements and more.

In December last year Twitter released a major update of it's iOS app. This update brought a whole new design as well as other improvements and features. Many users were unhappy with the update and chose to use third party clients. With this latest update, Twitter hopes to win some of those users back.

First off, the Search functionality of the app has been immensely improved. A new auto complete and suggestion feature will aid you in finding the things you want on Twitter. These things may include certain tweets, people you would like to follow and topics you'd like to keep up with.

The Discover tab comes with major improvements as well. It will now show you a stream of tweets from the people you follow. This stream will include the tweets they make favourite or retweet. This functionality is supposed to help you discover people you'd probably want to follow.

Last but not the least, the new Twitter update is heavy on notification improvements. Previously notifications only worked with mentions or direct messages. Now notifications work for interactions as well, meaning that you will be notified if someone retweets your tweet or makes it favourite.
