World of Warcraft is one of the popular online MMORPG games that is literally played by millions of beginners and hardcore gamers around the world. Ardent gamers usually have special gaming rigs for optimal gameplay, but they also wish to be able to play it any where they want. The good news is that World Of Warcraft for iPhone may be available very soon.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Senior producer of World of Warcraft John Lagrave said that Blizzard, the company behind this game, is destined to release an iPhone version. Currently Blizzard hasn't released a port, all they have on the App Store is the World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app. This app can be used to view character sheets, use the Auction House as well as manage guilds.
John Lagrave revealed Blizzard's aspirations about putting World of Warcraft on the iPhone:
Here's your platform, you've got to put an interface, what do you do? So yes we have [looked into mobile] and we always are. Maybe we'll stumble on the great way to put WOW on the phone - maybe we won't, but we're certainly looking into it.
We won't do it until we think it's decent. But it's interesting and the world is evolving towards that little handheld device - I'd have fun on it, that's absolutely the case. It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that and we're not - we don't think - we're foolish! It's not shocking to see that Blizzard wants to port it's popular game to the iPhone. The iPhone happens to be one of the most selling smartphone in the world and Blizzard will most definitely benefit a lot if World of Warcraft becomes available for the iPhone. It can not be said as yet when exactly this game will be released, but it can be said for sure that it will be very well received.
