Apple finally announced it's third generation iPad on March 7, 2011 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California. This tablet was widely anticipated by Apple lovers all around the world. Most people were disappointed when they saw that no design changes had been made. Yet in spite of that, Apple is saying that consumer demand for the New iPad is off the "charts".
The New iPad comes with an A5X processor which is dualcore. It was previously rumored that the New iPad will have a quadcore A6 processor. This tablet also has a 5 megapixel iSight camera, a gorgeous Retina Display, LTE support and 1GB of RAM.
Apple revealed in a statement today to USA Today that they are seeing amazing demand for their new iPad. Here is the statement:
Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased. Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.It is amazing to see so much customer demand for a tablet that is exactly similar in design to it's previous version. Apple did the same thing when they announced iPhone 4S instead of a fully revamped iPhone 5. The iPhone 4S is now the most successful iPhone Apple ever launched, and by the looks of things, the New iPad is going to get that crown too, soon enough.
