It hasn't been long since Apple announced it's first product of 2012. The New iPad delivers and goes on sale today in 10 countries. We know that 2012 has a lot to bring and Apple has already hinted that their 2012 products will blow our minds. So a fresh rumor states that the Cupertino outfit is gearing up to launch a new 15-inch Macbook Air in April.

We already know that Apple follows strict release cycles for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The iPad 2 was unveiled on March 2, 2011. The New iPad was unveiled on March 7, 2012, exactly one year after it. Rumor has it that the next generation iPhone will be unveiled in October as the iPhone 4S was unveiled in October of 2011. However Apple does not follow a strict release cycle for it's Mac line of products. So it is possible for Apple to come out with a new Macbook Air model next month.

The Macbook Air line up currently consists of 11 and 13-inch models. The 15-inch Macbook Air model will be a completely new addition to this lineup. It has also been rumored that Apple will put Intel's latest Ivy Bridge processors in it's new Macbook Air.

Intel is rumored to be facing delaying in Ivy Bridge chip production. However it is not impossible for Apple to get it's hands on Ivy Bridge processors before they're released to the public. For all we know, the 15-inch Macbook Air can turn out to be the first commercial device touting Intel's latest and greatest Ivy Bridge processors. Let's see if Apple really does release a new 15-inch Macbook Air next month.
