Microsoft Plans To Bring Xbox Live To iOS

A recent job posting from Microsoft reveals the company’s aim to expand their products more widely on new devices such as the very much hyped smartphones in markets these days. We all know that Microsoft has always been the king when it comes to interactive living room entertainment. With their Xbox 360 being a bit hit all over the world and their much anticipated Xbox 720 already on its way. Microsoft is planning to bring Xbox live to smartphones such as iPhone and Android. They have realized that there’s a place for Xbox and the services outside of their own ecosystem.

Back in December Microsoft released an Xbox app for iOS. The app allows the users to manage all the social aspects of Xbox live and its services right from their smartphones which have the iOS platform. The app was a big hit among all the Xbox Users who had the iOS powered devices.

It can’t be ignored that the Windows phone features a lot more in depth experience but the fact that Microsoft is planning to develop for other platform is a good sign that they are on the right track.

According to the job posting, the company is now looking to bring the latest and greatest gaming and entertainment experience by Microsoft to mobile platforms including the iOS devices, the windows phone and android. This is getting the above listed mobile platform users very excited. Android development experience was listed as a big plus point under the job posting from Microsoft.

Location based gaming and social networking were listed as two of the most interesting user scenarios. All the Xbox users are going to highly anticipate this Xbox powered gaming brought to iOS and android.
