Yesterday Chronic Dev-team has released the new jailbreak, Absinthe Greenpois0n to bring untethered jailbreak for A5 devices. As most of you know that Chronic dev-team and Pod2g have released the Mac version only of GreenpoiOn Absthine to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on 5.0.1 untethered. Windows version should come within few hours. For now we have a trick that would help Windows users to Jailbreak iPhone 4S / iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1.
Supported Devices and Firmwares :
- iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0, 5.0.1 (9A405 and 9A406)
- iPad 2 Wifi/GSM/CDMA running iOS 5.0.1
Before jailbreaking your device, we recommend to create a backup so that you can restores your data, apps, contacts and etc.
How to jailbreak iPhone 4S / iPad 2 5.0.1 untethered on Windows :
Step 1: Download CLI Absinthe for Windows - Click Here.
Step 2: Open the downloaded .zip file into your C:\
Step 3: Open Start menu, click on "run" and type cmd.exe
Step 4: In the command window, type: CD C:\cinject_0.4.3 as shown to get into the required folder.
Step 5: Now, execute CLI. Do this by typing: cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig
Step 6: Now execute cinject.exe -j payloads and wait for the backup.
Step 7: Finally execute the command cinject.exe -w
Step 8: Once completed, you should see an Absinthe icon on the Home screen. Tap the Absinthe icon, it will open GreenPois0n site, and will then reboot your device. Once it loads again, the Cydia icon will have replaced the Absinthe icon. Non enjoy your iPhone 4S / iPad 2 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak.
Note: We know that this jailbreak guide is techy and anyone who gonna follow this guide should be aware what he do exactly. If you don't have good background about that, don't worry, the friendly interface of Greenpoi0n Absinthe should release within few hours.
Common Errors :
- For FATAL(_LINE_) error, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings. Then do the procedure all over again.

error that says results too large

is this jailbreak supposed to take a while? it seemed to have stopped doing anything at coretime: not setting time zone to europe/london from location???

couldnt get it done , cant type any commandlines agter step 5 :( , what am i doing wrong ?
On a 4s, all I get is:

Is there a step that is left out? DFU mode, perhaps?
i tried and step five opens up "jailbreak" profile on my phone, when i try to install it, it says enter your password for the VPN "pod2g" account. if i skip to step six, i recieve
"please first run: cinject -i payloas/jailbeak.mobileconfig

figured it out, "jailbreak" profile comes up on phone, click install, and when it asks for a password to pod2g vpn, just click next. please add this to the page between steps 5 and 6 :)
in my ipad it appers in the middle of jailbreaking a vpn setting to install what should i do do i install it and if i install it say a password requested by jailbreak profile

@JAlLBREAK the command line is blocked in the process to cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig
It is not ok,i can not continues.... Do you have any idea?
With my Iphone 4S connect the screen show me error and with it disconnect the comand line is blocked..

error.. i try it... :( it create a profile named "jailbreak" ...but... i cant on my VPN... :( and there in no "Absinthe icon on the Home screen" or "Cydia icon on the Home screen"...

you should note, it can take between 5-10 minutes after running the last command line cinject.exe -w, it kind of sits there idling for a while then gets back to work all of a sudden. thanks for the writeup!!
it is requesting a password when installing the profile on the ipad !
another very importnat key is activating the vpn after the last command line, cinject.exe -w or it will not move forward. you will get an error and it will reboot

I'm getting an error "cinject.exe – Entry Point Not Found error" The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll.

ok, i have test it now ...
you must aktivate Jailbreak to see Cydia ...
Go this Way:
CD C:\cinject_0.4.3
cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig
cinject.exe -j payloads
cinject.exe -w
now, you must go to setting, network--> VPN-->
and Activate now this VPN sesion
Your System will Reboot now and Cydia is on Desktop ;)

I follow everything to a Tee but my iPhone 4S got stuck in "VPN Connection A configuration error occured." and it never reboot to see the apple logo. Please advise. Thanks so much.
