HiDPI Display modes for Mac OSX Lion is something similar to the Retina Display for iPhone. For those who have used iPod touch, iPhone 4 or 4S knows the amazing power of retina display which clears the fonts and make resolution better. HiDPI is not exactly the retina display but is something like that. This will make everything twice as large as on your Mac.

Folks over CultofMac has described this thing in the video which is embedded at the end of this post. And according to them, this is not practically Retina display but will improve the resolution. You can get this HiDPI display modes by following the step by step guide shown in the video.
But First of all, you will need to download XCode from Mac App Store. Although it is absolutely free of cost but its size is too high to download it easily. You can only try this if you have installed Mac OS Lion on your Mac. However, it is not useful for daily use but you can give it a try as fun.
