BBC Global iPlayer App coming to iPhone and iPod touch

The BBC officials have announced that their most famous app iPlayer for iPads will now soon be available for iPhone and iPod. This worldwide service will hit millions of users not only in UK but also in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Italy, Germany, Finland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. This app will offer the same BBC content to view on the iphones and iPod touch’s smaller screens over Wi-Fi or 3g. Plus this will allow the users to download episodes on your device.


According to BBC officials this new addition to iphones and iPods touch will allow them to target new audience plus provide their users with the fantastic programme content from UK’s creative industry. There will be addition of two new categories”Music” and “Arts and culture” along with selected speech radio programs in the genre offering of the global BBC iPlayer.

There is also a children category which will offer entertainment to teachers, parents and carries a variety of approaches to develop language and communication skills. Another good news is that BBC is also offering extra Christmas content for free till the Christmas. This will make the app a must have for all users.
