Apple’s been rumored to be working on wearable iPod Nano watchbands with Siri control as reported by The New York Times. Siri has become the talk of the town and having this feature on the iPod Nano watchbands would be an interesting way to keep track of time and things around! Apple has already encouraged us to wear its products on our wrists by selling Nanos with watch faces but now it is aiming to go beyond.
Inside Sources have said that a small group of Apple employees are conceptualizing and working on the wearable devices prototypes. The wearable device idea is of a curved glass iPod which would wrap around a wrist and people would be able to communicate with it via Siri.
Wearable Computing Expert, Richard DeVaul, was hired last year by Apple for experimenting on the prototypes of the product in Apple’s laboratories under the direction of Jony Ive. DeVaul only worked for 18months at Apple though, before it moved on to work for Google on similar projects.
