How to Enable AutoCorrect Bar on iOS 5 - iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad ? One of the hidden feature on iPhone iOS 5 is the Autocorrect Keyboard. This feature can be enabled without jailbreaking your iPhone. Follow this guide to enable Autocorrect bar which is similar to the one on Android based smartphones.


How Autocorrect works ?

Autocorrect on iOS 5 activates a bar on the top of the keyboard which shows auto corrected options based on the alphabets you enter which you can press to enter into the text body as shown in the above image.

The compatible devices are iPhone 4S , iPhone 4 , iPod touch 4G, iPad 1 and iPad 2.


How to enable Auto-correct bar on iOS 5 :

Step 1: Connect your iDevice with iTunes and take a Backup

Step 2: Download iBackupBot (Mac and Windows) and install on your computer.

Step 3: In the left hand panel , select the device under available backups

Step 4: Navigate to Library/Preferences/com.apple.keyboard.plist and open the file by double clicking it.

Step 5: Add the following key KeyboardAutocorrectionListsYES.

Step 6: Close the file and save it.

Step 7: Restore the backup file by tapping the Restore icon.

Step 8: Your iPhone 4 will restart and the Auto-Correct bar will be enabled.
