Earlier today, Skype finally released the official iPad app for its video chat service. The report initially came in from New Zealand where the app went live on the App Store for download. While it soon became available on all App Stores, the app was quickly pulled out.
We know that ever since the iPad 2 was launched, Skype has not released an official app for it which would capitalize on the dual cameras on Apple's tablet. The Skype iPhone app does work on the iPad, but since it is not optimized for it, overall the app does not look nice. That's why many people were excited when Skype for iPad finally went live in the App Store.
