i already jailbroke my phone with redsn0w. only to realize after that my baseband is not eligible to lock using ultrasn0w 1.2.3 while the whole purpose of my jailbreak is to unlock my iphone 4.3.3.

yeah tryin to do this on windows but after 3 tries of 20 min each no luck. maybe you guys could do a trial run on the latest hardware before declaring that your software is pwn worthy cause doesnt work on white iphone4 and is very time consuming for an epic fail.

Did it on white iphone. Works fine. Those having problems get iReb to help you put it into Pwned DFU mode

Using TinyUmbrelle 4.33.00 uploaded sn0wbreeze patched version succesfully, but after reboot stays in recover mode.... iREB and fixrecovery no result. any ideas ??

If you see the "Emergency call" only, dont panic
just connect yr iphone back to iTune, key in the Pin and unlock the phone, then the usual slide to unlock will pop out, then behave like normal

To all that are having trouble with activating: I had to remove my T-Mobile sim card and use the original AT&T sim card on my iPhone 4 in order to successfully activate and restore from my backup. If you are stuck at the "Emergency Call screen" and iTunes keeps complaining about an invalid sim card, simply close iTunes, replace your T-Mobile sim card with the original AT&T sim card, and restart iTunes. Once you get everything set up, you can reinsert your T-Mobile sim card and unlock using ultrasn0w

i accidentally tried to do the step for restoring to the custom ipsw before i put the phone in the pwned dfu mode. Now my iphone wont do anything but show the usb pointing to itunes on the screen and itunes says i have to restore my phone. How can i go back to where i can put the phone in the pwned dfu mode?

GUYS!!!! FOR WHO GETS THE EMERGENCY SHIT... FIRST METHOD:
DISCONNECT YOUR IPHONE AND RECONNECT IT WITH THE USB CABLE...and if u still dont get any signal go to cydia look for ultrasnow and install it... not working?.. check ur baseband... if its not compatible with ultra snow then follow the second method...

SECOND METHOD: jailbreak your iphone AGAIN with snowbreeze using the EXPERT MODE and when it finishes open ur iphone and write the pin code.. maybe nothing will happen and u'll get the emergency call again to fix that just disconnect and reconnect the usb cable just like i said earlier... it will work (enshalla)

I got the error 16xx in Tunes 3 to 4 times...as listed on many sites, do use iReb, latest version and keep it running even while restore is being performed by iTunes

i tried to jailbreak my iphone 4 on 4.3.3 and everything works up until the step where i have to use itunes to restore the IPSW, it gives me error 3194. I searched online and did both the methods (editing the host ip address, AND using tinythimble or w/e the name of the program is as instructed) but none of them worked. Can anyone help me out?

Got a strange problem. Everything works in the jailbreak process. After the iTunes custom restore, it should reboot the iPhone 3GS, and you should see the phone in Recovery mode. Instead, it goes into DFU mode (Black screen). I won't be able to make it get out of DFU mode. Tried everything that internet says.

My last resort is to wait for the battery to drain out in hope that it would put me back into the Recovery mode.

I am having a weird issue:I followed step by step until step 7.
Then ITunes 10.2.2 errors out:
The iPhone "" cannot be restored because the firmware is not compatible.

i used snow breeze i got the green screen but then it wouldnt restore in itunes got 10.15 error. i did have it jailbroken but because the baseband was 6.15.00 i kept getting no signal so i uninstalled cydia etc and stupidly instead of re-installing i went onto itunes to do a restore. It didnt work and have been stuck with usb symbol. Followed your instructions and had the green screen then i've got the usb symbol again. What can i do, javox did leave me a reply but i cant find it now, he said something about it being due to the baseband already being there,

what do i need to install please as the links i saved from the reply do not appear to be working

Method--
Create Sn0wbreeze Custom IPSW iOS 4.3.3 for your iphone. Put your iphone in Pwned DFU mode using iReb. Try TinyUmbrella, Run "TSS Server", Open iTunes, then shift+restore, then choose custom iOS 4.3.3.

Result--
Procedure worked.

Old baseband 15.06.02 remained unchanged, since the newest version of sn0wbreeze 2.7 doesn't give you the choice to change the baseband.

Unfortunately, the network is not working for the moment too.

I am using an active SIM card for the network carrier. In other words, the network service was working prior to me switching to this iOS 4.3.3 using the custom IPSW.

If I switch to IPAD baseband, I'm hoping that my network service will be restored. However, I read using the IPAD baseband will adversely affect performance in terms of battery life and my ability to further flash the Iphone with future basebands.

Here are my options.

1) downgrade to 4.1 where the network will work and the phone will be jailbreaked but I can't unlock the phone unless I switch to the IPAD baseband.

2) switch to the IPAD baseband now on 4.3.3. the phone is jailbreaked but i'm hoping the network service will be restored.

Do I have any other options?

I sucessfully downgraded from iOS 4.3.5 to 4.3.3 and now have Cydia back, no errors at all. Also this Jailbreak works UNTETHERED, so no problems when I restart/power off my phone. Just follow EXACTLY as they are described. It's imperative that the phone enters the DFU mode described in step 6. THANKS!!!

Hi, just one quick question. I am currently on baseband 04.11.08 and I know it isn't unlockable.

I just want to get past that iTunes + Cable logo. The phone is currently bricked, and even I know I can't unlock it, I want to know if there is any way of avoiding having to insert the damn carrier microsim in order to make it work, because it is impossible for me to get one where I live..

can I jailbreak it and use it as a very fancy ipod at least?
