What Apple has to gain from locking their phones with every single new iOS release? I don't get it! I am travelling a lot and I rely heavily on buying Pay&Go SIM cards in whatever country I go to cut on mobile internet costs, which otherwise would cost me a fortune with the current sky-high roaming charges per mobile data traffic. Wake up Apple! Make them lock-free and you'll get most of Android and Microsoft clients in a matter of months.

since I don't have access to menu how should I open Cydia from my phone ?

I jailbroke my iphone 3gs using the link This Guide (Untethered Sn0wbreeze 2.7 for Windows)provided under the requirement section above. Unfortunately, after the itunes was done restoring the iphone, i couldn't turn the phone on again. It keeps asking me for a simcard to activate the phone, I used my T-mobile simcard and it said the sim is unsupported. The phone was working with my t-mobile simcard before. Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Jailbreak my iphone 3gs (old bootrom) with snOwbreeze 2.7. i tried to unlock it with ultrasn0w but i still getting No Service.
Any reason or help? didnt had any problem during the jailbreak neither with the unlock... but it just seams not to work!

to activate the iphone, u have to select expert mode in sn0wbreeze and then select general options. Then select hactivate and continue on with it until u get to build ipsw.

Nice tips about unlocking iPhone using iPad and iPod touch. These are nice tips, but in my opinion, unlocking cellphones is risky, it might cause a malfunction into a phone's features.

Im soo pissed with myself I jailbroke my iphone 4 which was still set at the original firm and baseband of when the IPhone 4 first came out in June of last year. recently and not paying attention I lost the bb of 01.59.00. But when I went to upgrade my husbands IPhone I kept his original bb. I told him lets sell it!

I have an iPhone 3GS BB 06.15.00 running 4.3.3 firmware. I used snowbreeze to jailbreak it and ultrasn0w 1.2.3 to unlock it. I am having the no signal problem. I have read in many places that there is an issue with ultrasn0w not working on 3GS with bb 06.15.00. Is there a fix or a way around this? any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been trying to unlock this phone since ultrasnow 1.1 and i've always had the same problem. There must be a fix out there somewhere by now! :)

to iphone4 4.3.3 with baseband 04.10.01: did you get your phone UNLOCKED already or is it locked to from the carrier sim??? i have a unlocked iphone4 with same ver and bb.. i suppose if i jailbreak it with snowbreeze, will my phone still remain UNLOCKED to any Carrier??

Hello friends i have an issue about sim lock

i have two iphone 3gs both of them are factory unlocked with 05.16.02 BB.
i updated both of them to ios 4.3.3

*1 iphone is updated from ios 4.3.2 to ios 4.3.3 which in now jailbroken and unlock as well and i can use my sim with it
*Another iphone was on ios 3. something the 1st ios of 3gs i think, after upgrading it from ios 3 to ios 4.3.3, i jailbreak it but that sim got locked and now i cant use any sim on it although it is jailbroken and i have cydia installed on it.
both of them have 05.16.02 BB

My Question is : Why didnt both the iphone 3gs got locked? although both have same BB, 05.16.02


now tell me how should i unlock my another iphone 3gs??

hey i did mistake...i tried to unlock my i4with bb 02.10.04, now i can't restore my 4.3.3 version n also cant use cydia setting...new jailbreaking doesnt work on it...mobile substrate supported file was merge with my cydia setting...nw either i can use those superb setting of cydia or gevey sim card...if u hv any solution thn let me knw....or any reverse process of it???
