How come I can't use this on my 3G iphone?

There is PwnageTool 4.3.3 for windows?

i intially had 4.0.1 iphone 4
now i upgraded to 4.2.1 without upgrading the base band. the iphone is unlocked jail broken and works fine. but has some issues which are resolved in 4.3.3. now which ipsw should i download activated or unactivated?
my sim is vodafone (carrier)

when i try to browse for the ipsw file for snowbreeze i keep getting an error saying that its wrong SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE!!!

I downloaded this and tried it in the newest versions of redsn0w and sn0wbreeze and both say that it isnt a valid ipsw file can anyone help? I'm not sure what's happening.

Is the iPhone 3GS new bootrom iOS 4.3.3 Custom ipsw firmware untethered -06.15 baseband unactivated (for users who are on official carrier SIM card) upgrade my baseband to 6.15 if i'm not?

Because I'm stuck in 4.2.1 with BB 5.16.02 without shsh of 4.3.1 saved so I can't get back to 4.3.1 because itunes shows me a error.

I have an iPhone 3G, which one should I use or is 4.3.3 not available for my phone?

I download again and again with unsuccess. Found that,Must register for premium user first before download cause of file size bigger than limit download size.

We do learn new stuffs, so sorry for the silly question, but i jus wanna know what is custom firmware? what is the difference between this and the original firmware? Hope someone could tell me.. Many thanks!

the difference is that the custom firmware is already jailbreaked, you just need to open it with itune.

To do it you need the Last version of itune.

the ones that were created with pawnage tool, do they update the baseband????

when i try to open the zipped folder it says that its invalid???

For Windows
Go in “c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\” and edit file "host" with notepad.

Do not delete nothing above #For example:
Last line should look like this

Now open itunes and it should restore without errors.

i downloaded the Custom iOS 4.3.3 IPSW prepared with PwnageTool 4.3.3 for iphone 4(gsm) activated

then i sent my fone to dfu mode and got it restored with the downloaded file using the hosts file trick and after the restore the phone is till in the dfu mode.. nomatter what i try its stuck with the blank screen

please help me..

does this firmware unlock the phone?? and what does jailbreak mean?? nd i downloaded the 3g file w/ snowbreeze but it says could not restore phone incompatible file...im gona try the other 3g file without snowbreeze. my phone was already unlocked when i got it but i did a factory reset nd it messed the phone up.

If its still in DFU Mode you should Boot tether it on redsn0w and it must work if it didn't then keep trying your luck!

I have downloaded the custom 4.3.3 Untethered file (JB with sn0wbreeze). I used iTunes (10.1.2) and had a successful restore. The problem is my 3GS went back to the DFU mode and I had to use redsn0w to boot tethered. My questions are:
1). What makes the ipsw untethered or tethered?
2). What would I need to fix it andboot untethered?
3). How can I tell if my ios is tethered or not tethered? I can ssh into the iPhone.

I bought a iPhone 4 version 4.0.2
I upgraded to version 4.1 and 1.59 baseband with limera1n and Greenpois0n.
Today I updated to firmware 4.3.3 with Sn0wbreeze 2.7.3 and TinyUmbrella.
I have not had a single error record with itunes 10.4. The baseband has been well respected.
But GSM does not work now. The screen displays a message "no service" in the area where the bar should appear coverage. The operator's name also appears.
Does anyone know why that is?
Should I downgrade the version 4.1?

I have iphone 4 iOS 4.3.3 BB 4.10.01 LOCKED , I want to unlock and activate it .. is this custom software gonna unlock it for me? and which software I have to use ? the one with pwnage tool or sn0wbreeze? I am using windows 7 ultimate x86, and the latest itunes.
