As I reported you yesterday about the problem which faced some problems with battery life after upgrading to iOS 4.3, our reader has sent a new method to stop the battery drain.
First method to stop iOS 4.3 Battery life problem:
Battery life should be restored to what they were before the latest update. Precisely, it's the notification system in Ping.
Go to Settings > General > Restrictions and select Enable Restrictions. You will see Ping setting whereby you can click on the switch to disable it. This will save 2 hours for your iOS device
Second method to stop iOS 4.3 Battery life problem (use if the first method didn't solve your problem):
Go to Setting > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Please let me know which one works with you

I tried the first method(restricting ping) last night. Before going to bed my iphone battery was at 76%. This morning when I woke up it was at 1%. So it did not solve my problem. Tonight I will try with the second opcion(resetting Network setting) and I will let you know
it says to entermy restriction passcode and I have no idea what it is or how to get it
Hi,
I just did the network reset and it seems working!
Neither of these worked.
where do you see the ping setting?
try 0000 for the passcode
If you never looked at restrictions before it is asking you to create a new passcode for it (created for people with kids with iPhones) . That's why you have to put the number in twice. Just make it up and don't forget it.
itz 1234
for passcode-abhisshek
Turn off Wi-Fi Sync.
I did it and voilá!
It seems that iPhone is constantly looking for an iTunes and tries to connect to it permanently. In fact If I had WI-FI Sync on, iPhone would appear on iTunes for a couple of seconds and then disappear.
To turn it off just plug your iPhone to your computer, open iTunes, click on your iPhone on the left bar and uncheck Wi-Fi Sync.
Good luck!
Hi,
for me my battery does not drop fast when it is on stnadby. Overnight it loses 2% or 3%. But when I am sending SMSes, it drops 1% every few minutes or less right in front of my eyes. What can I do?
