How to Unlock iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS on iOS 6.1.3

By  at Wednesday, July 31, 2013

Many of iPhone users have upgraded their iPhones to the latest operating system iOS 6.1.3. As usual we asked our readers to don't upgrade to iOS 6.1.3 until we get the official word from hackers and developers about jailbreak and unlock, despite of this warning, some of them have upgraded to iOS 6.1.3 accidentally. Unfortunately, there are no jailbreak solution for iOS 6.1.3 as it has killed the exploit that was used on Evasi0n untethered jailbreak. But what about iOS 6.1.3 unlock? Let me show you how to unlock iPhone on iOS 6.1.3.

iOS 6.1.3 Basebands:
  • iPhone 5 on 6.1.3 (baseband 03.04.25)
  • iPhone 4S on 6.1.3 (baseband 03.04.03)
  • iPhone 4 on 6.1.3 (baseband 04.12.05)
  • iPhone 3GS on 6.1.3 (baseband 05.16.08)
Ultrasn0w:

After every iOS release, the iPhone dev-team announcing that they are working on ultrasn0w unlock, but since very long time there are no updates for this tool.

Gevey SIM:

Gevey SIM is not compatible with those higher basebands, so it won't unlock your iPhone that running iOS 6.1.3

IMEI Official Factory Unlock:

IMEI official and permanent iPhone factory unlock is the only and best unlock solution that has been recommended by the iPhone dev-team.

IMEI official unlock will turn your iPhone to lifetime factory unlocked iPhone. All you have to do is to send your iPhone's IMEI number (Settings > General > About) and the official carrier of your iPhone (the carrier that your iPhone is locked to) to the service provider to unlock it remotely within few hours / days. After you get confirmation from the service provider that your iPhone has been unlocked, you have to restore your iPhone to get your freedom forever.

iPhone IMEI unlock works with any baseband and any iOS version and doesn't need jailbreak and there is no need to send your iPhone to anyone as it's remote unlock. Add to this that you will be able to upgrade to any future iOS version as your iPhone will not re-lock again.

The only issue on "IMEI official factory unlock" is that there are a lot of scammers across the web. We found a trusted service provider called My IMEI Unlock. This service provider has been recommended by many iPhone developers and hackers like Sherif Hashim (the guy behind ultrasn0w) and the have 5-stars ranking on Google

New Velox Add-On Lets You Add Contacts Right From The Home Screen [Jailbreak Tweak]

By  at Thursday, May 09, 2013

Just a few days back, a developer introduced new app “Velox” that made it possible to do dozens of basic tasks right from the home screen of your iOS device. Unfortunately though, Apple doesn’t allow this level of customization in iTunes so for using Velox, an iOS device has to be jailbroken. This has opened a whole new door for new tweaks and apps that can increase the capability of Velox and one of those tweaks is Addial.

Titled “Addial”, this app allows you to add new contacts to your phonebook directly from the home screen making the whole process much faster and easier. But first, you’ll need to make sure that Velox is installed on your iDevice. After that, just simply download and install Addial from Cydia.

If you’ve done the above, then all you’ve to do now in order to add a new contact right from the home screen is to swipe down/up on the Contacts app icon. Doing this will reveal three buttons, namely: “Add Contact”, “Dial” and “Call Contact”. Simply tap on any of these to either add a new contact, dial a number or call a new contact.

Addial is available in Cydia’s BigBoss repo for free, so if you already have the Velox tweak, then this is a must-have.

LockStatusHide Hides The Status Bar On The Lock Screen [Jailbreak Tweak]

By  at Thursday, May 09, 2013

Apple’s iOS Lock Screen hasn’t been subjected to much change throughout the six years since iOS’s release and due to Apple’s strict iOS restrictions, customizing the lock screen is also out of question. But if you own a jailbroken iDevice, then a big number of Cydia apps and tweaks can do that for you. One new tweak has just hit Cydia that allows you to make changes to the Lock screen by hiding the status bar.

As the name indicates, LockStatusHide has one and only one fuction i.e to make the status bar on the home screen disappear. If you like a much cleaner and minimalistic looking lock screen, then this tweak is the one for you as it removes the clutter of the status bar.
There’s not much to customize about the tweak itself as even the Settings of this app comprises of two options letting you switch on/off the tweak or put the passcode to on/off.
LockStatusHide is available in Cydia’s BigBoss repo for free so there’s nothing stopping you from giving it a try!

New Low-Cost iPhone To Cost Around $350 [Analysts]

By  at Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Apple’s stance always has been to go for premium high-quality devices and sell them for big bucks and it has worked for them ever since the launch of the original iPhone. But the release of the iPad Mini is a notion that we might be seeing a different side of Apple now as its stocks keep falling and cheap Android phones take hold of the budget smartphone market. Despite the fact that Apple’s CEO said that they won’t introduce a crappy product, we might soon see a cheap mid-range iPhone entering the market and if these new predictions by analysts get it right, then that budget phone from Apple might cost only $350.

According to a report by AllThingsD, here is what analysts Gokul Hariharan and Mark Moskowitz have to say about it,
We believe Apple could take 20-25 percent of this market in the next 12 months (from almost no market share currently), if it prices a lower-priced product at $350-400 levels.
Analysts over at J.P Morgan are also claiming that a mid-range iPhone release from Apple is highly probable,
Currently, the Smartphone market is polarized at the high-end and the rapidly growing low-end segment, while the mid-end price points do not see too much volume. However, if Apple comes in at the $350-400 price point, it could change the shape of the price pyramid, by pulling some consumers into higher end price ranges.
While as far as the specs of this phone is concerned, they are expecting a phone with a 4 inch screen, plastic screen, one-generation old processor and two variants running on FDD [frequency division multiplex] and TDD [time division multiplex] LTE networks. If their calculations are good enough, this mid-range iPhone could hit retail for as little as $350.
What do you think? Are you happy with Apple’s current line of products or a mid-range iPhone is the one you’ve been waiting for?

Unlock your iPhone by Playing Piano [Jailbreak Tweak]

By  at Tuesday, May 07, 2013

The iPhone’s screen lock is pretty cool and the default slide-to-unlock animation has become kind of a signature style of having an iPhone, though now it has been copied by many too. But even Apple fanboys would admit that it has become quite boring after all these years without any major change. But thanks to Cydia, you can enjoy the perks of customizing your iPhone/iPad as much as you like. A new tweak takes use of the restriction-free jailbreak mode to make unlocking much more fun and playful.

PianoPasscode is a new addition to Cydia that has some good tricks up its sleeve to let you unlock your iPhone with a little fun as well. Like the name states, with PianoPasscode, you can set a specific tune and as soon as you play it on the Piano displayed on the lock screen, it unlocks your iDevice for you. Pretty slick, huh?

When you install the tweak at first, the default password will be to tap all the keys from left to right. After that, you can change it by going to Settings but note that after changing the code, you’ll have to use the save and respring tools present in the Settings of this tweak. Also note that for setting the passcode, you’ll have to know which keys correspond to which numbers so you won’t have any problem later. Additionally, you can enable Secure Mode to let PianoPasscode work in collaboration with other popular tweaks like iCaughtU and Jelly Lock.
PianoPasscode is available in Cydia’s BigBoss repo for a pretty reasonable $0.99 and is a must try if you’re fed up of the slide-to-unlock animation.

Samsung’s New Galaxy S4 Ad Titled “Grad Pool Party” Pokes Fun At Apple

By  at Monday, May 06, 2013

It’s been a long time since Samsung last poked fun at Apple and its’ fanboys and perhaps that nerve is starting to bounce back in. It has become their tradition to humiliate Apple fans by promoting their own Galaxy S and Note phones and now the South Korean tech giant is back with another one of those ads.
Titled “Grad Pool Party”, this ad touts Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4 as the best and the coolest smartphone around and also shows off a couple of new features of the S4 like Air View, Air Gesture and Voice Beam. On the other hand, this commercial also portrays Apple’s iPhone as a six-year old and pretty outdated smartphone. You might not agree with them, but that won’t stop them from making ads like these.
You can watch the “Grad Pool Party” ad below,

For those who skipped the video, let us summarize it in a few lines. It shows a young Grad who is hosting a graduation pool party and shows off how this party is much better thanks to the plethora of great features present in the S4.
Seeing the perks of Samsung’s latest phone, old parents of these grads get jealous of it and end up claiming the iPhone as pretty much useless as compared to the Galaxy S4.
You really don’t need to be a genius to find out what Samsung is telling you that its smartphone is cool and awesome for young people while Apple’s iPhone is only for someone old who isn’t much interested in cool tech.

New iOS 7 Concept Imagines A Flat-UI, Dashboard And More [Video]

By  at Monday, May 06, 2013

Released 7 months back in September, iOS 6 has already started showing its age, mainly because the fact that the changes in the iOS 6 weren’t as major as many would have expected. So as an answer to all this, it is expected that Apple shall go for a major overhaul in the next iteration of iOS and with Jony Ive leading the team, it is much likely that we’d be seeing a much flatter UI in iOS 7. A new concept has just hit the internet that shows what iOS might look like as Apple shows it off, possibly a few months from now.

Created by Mohamed Kerroudj, these few videos shows off iOS 7, or what it might look like with a redesigned flat-UI, a new Dashboard and a few more changes. Perhaps encouraged by the interest his first couple of videos received, Kerroudj has released a third video too.
We have embedded the three videos below for you to watch,

The new look has some decent changes and takes on a much nicer Metro-inspired interface. Old-school Apple fans might feel left out for this change in UI but iOS really is getting a little boring so this would be a welcome change for most people.

Open App Notifications By Simply Interacting With The App Icon [Jailbreak Tweak]

By  at Saturday, May 04, 2013

Cydia is pretty popular for turning out tweaks which, although not approved by Apple, go a long way in improving the default iOS experience. Another one of those great tweaks has just made its way to Cydia to drastically improve the way you interact with your notifications.

Velox is a highly anticipated jailbreak tweak that goes a long way in helping you open notifications or even settings of any specific app on iOS directly from the homescreen. It lets you create custom folders, and swiping down/up on any of the apps on your homescreen opens a small window, depending upon the purpose of that app: Doing this to the camera app icon will reveal a small window right on the homescreen on which the camera is displayed while the Settings app will open up a small toggle menu. These are the apps that have the capability to use these Custom Folders,
§  Settings
§  Photos
§  Maps
§  Weather
§  Contacts
§  Safari
§  Mail
§  Music
§  Reminders
§  Calendar
§  Camera
§  WebClip (bookmarks)
§  Notes
§  Messages

While as far as the notification part of Velox is concern, it lets you make a previously-specified gesture on any app in iOS that has a red notification popup hovering over the app icon. Either swipe or tap on the red popup and Velox will reveal all the notifications by that app right on your homescreen. Take for example, if you have some unread messages in the inbox, you can either swipe down or tap on the notification icon to reveal those unread messages. For clearing these notifications, all you have to do is pull down on them. It is very simply and yet pretty innovative. Thankfully, the developers of But thankfully, this feature of Velox is available for all apps on iOS.

Velox has just recently made its way to Cydia and is available for a very reasonable price of $1.99. Clearly, the idea behind this app is pretty cool and if the developers have done a great job on it so really would be great reason to jailbreak your device, just for using this tweak.

Lockscreen Toggles Gets Dropdown Toggles, Icons And Even More Stuff In New Update [Jailbreak Tweak]

By  at Saturday, May 04, 2013

Apple still keeps a stronghold on most stuff within iOS so hardcore users have to jailbreak their devices to customize them to the maximum. The Lockscreen is also bound up in Apple’s restrictions but thanks to Jailbreaking and a new tweak “Lockscreen Toggles”, it allows users to do most basic things without even unlocking their phones. A new update has just arrived which an even bigger set of features. Scroll down to know more about the new perks of Lockscreen Toggles.

Lockscreen Toggles has now got a whole new Dropdown menu of Toggles along with a row of them just below the iOS clock which really come in handy in a hurry.
A slew of new gestures have also been added to this app which can be found in the “Gestures” tab found in the Preferences panel located within this app. These allow you to access the dropdown toggles with a variety of different gestures. For accessing the list to reorder the toggles, simply swipe down on any of the toggles in the row and the dropdown toggle menu will pop-up. Swipe down to hide it! On the other hand, the update also allows you to use slightly larger icons which are easily recognizable as soon as your screen lights up.

Lockscreen Toggles is available in Cydia’s Bigboss repo for a mere $0.99. For what it’s capable of doing, this tweak is really is worth that buck!

How to Enable Google Now on iPhone outside the US?

By  at Saturday, May 04, 2013

Google’s AI assistant, Google Now, which got released last year in June has been bundled with every Android 4.1 device since and has got a lot of praise for its ability to guess what you want and when you want it. Going to office? It’ll automatically show you directions and will also predict the time it’ll take you to get there. It’ll even alert you if there’s a match of your favorite team to be held. Just yesterday, this highly appreciated app got released on iOS and is found to be as good, if not better, than its Android counterpart. One unfortunate thing is that only users residing in the U.S get to take advantage of this but if have a jailbroken iDevice, then you can do a workaround to use Google Now without moving to the U.S and here’s how,

A new jailbreak tweak that goes by the name “GoogleNowEnabler” has just hit Cydia that makes it pretty damn easy to get Google’s assistant in just a couple of minutes. It’s all in the name as enabling Google Now really is the sole purpose of this tweak and you won’t even find an icon or this app or even settings. All you’ve got to do is install it and you’re good to enjoy the Now.

GoogleNowEnabler is available in Cydia in Cydia’s ModMyi repo free of charge. Just install it after you’ve downloaded the Google Search app from the App Store and there you have it.

By  at Thursday, May 02, 2013

The upcoming iPhone is likely going to be called iPhone 5S and wouldn’t be as big a change as iPhone 5 was coming from iPhone 4S, but analysts are aiming towards a larger iPhone coming in 2014.

Apple releases iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone 5

By  at Thursday, May 02, 2013

Last month, Apple released iOS 6.1.3 to fix the Lockscreen bug and many other small glitches. Unfortunately, Apple also fixed the 4-6 different vulnerabilities of Evasi0n Jailbreak in iOS 6.1.3. Well, all in sudden, Apple has released iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone 5 and just like iOS 6.1.3, it is not a major release, it only brings the “Updated Audio Profile”.

This new update is only available OTA, which means users can update to iOS 6.1.4 without using iTunes. However, download links for iOS 6.1.4 will be posted soon.
Important Notes: Evasi0n Jailbreak will not work on iOS 6.1.4, so, if you already have a Jailbroken iPhone 5 or want it to be Jailbroken, Please stay away from iOS 6.1.4.
For iOS 6.1.3 users, we know that they also don’t have any Jailbreak, but we will recommend you to not to update to iOS 6.1.4 because it doesn’t bring anything special for your iPhone.
In case of any problem, don’t forget to leave a comment below.

Next-Gen iPad Mini Will Come With Retina Display!

By  at Sunday, December 16, 2012

Launched back on 2nd November, the iPad Mini has been showing ground to other 7 inch Android tablets like the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD. The iPad Mini has received mostly positive reviews, but despite that, a lot of people have been complaining about the lack of retina display and a faster processor along with the hefty $329 price tag. And it looks like Apple is going to address at least some of those complaints in the next generation of iPad Mini, probably the iPad Mini 2.

The display of the current-gen iPad Mini is not that bad either with 1024 by 768 resolution but it really looks quite bad compared to other Retina-fied Apple devices. According to a recent report from DigiTimes, the iPad Mini 2 will finally have a Retina display with a resolution of 2058 by 1536 with a 326 ppi which easily enters the Retina territory.

Here is what they say,
The sources have yet to specify whether the device will use Apple's Retina Display technology to enhanced resolution, but market observers said it is highly likely based on the development of past Apple products such as the iPhone and 9.7-inch iPad series.
Meanwhile, the sources also said that Apple will restructure the lighting of the next-generation 9.7-inch iPad from two LED light bars to one in order to decrease the device's overall weight.
It was pre-predicted by analysts that Apple would include a Retina display into the iPad Mini 2 to convince all those who have been complaining about the lower-res display of the iPad Mini into buying the next-gen iPad Mini. That higher resolution display will also finish the concerns about the higher price tag.
