Step 1: After downloading Absinthe, double click to extract the downloaded archive and launch Absinthe jailbreak application.

Chronic Dev Team is struggling to bring Absinthe Support for iPad 2, 4

These are the golden days of Jailbreaks, because the hard work by Pod2g and Chronic Dev team brought Untethered Jailbreak for All iOS 5.1.1 devices except the newer version of iPad 2, 4. According to the hacking team, the support for iPad 2, 4 is coming soon. The revised version of iPad 2, just like Apple TV 3G is left without Jailbreak.


However, we have good news for iPad 2, 4 owners, because Chronic Dev team and other hackers are working hard to bring iOS 5.1.1 untethered Jailbreak. As posted by the IDB, one of the most prominent members of Chronic Dev team, Planetbeing tweeted that, if someone has iPad 2, 4, he also wanted to confirm the Absinthe Jailbreak for this version.

Another thing is that, iOS 5.1.1 untethered Jailbreak is perfectly working on the GSM versions of iPad 2. And also note that iPad 2, 4 Is the latest version of iPad with newer Chipset and low power consumption. Absinthe 2.0.2 is released to Jailbreak iPhone 4 firmware (9B208)

If you are some of unfortunate guys who have updated their iPhone 4 to firmware (9B208), Absinthe 2.0 and 2.0.1 was not able to Jailbreak this iOS version. But luckily, the wait seems to over, Chronic Dev team has released another version of Absinthe 2.0.2 to Untethered Jailbreak iPhone 4 (9B208).

Some intresting Facts about Siri [Infographic]

Siri was one of the most amazing features which was introduced with the release of iPhone 4S, it was made keynote along with the Dual Core processor and improved graphics. At the start of its release, it gained so much popularity and even the developers from other OS couldn't resist to try to develop such an amazing personal assistant. However, No one could meet such standards. Lets look on the other side of mirror, Siri is still in beta stage and if we talk about the functions of this Assistant, they are also limited.


Guys over t3n News has posted an infographic showing different facts about the Siri. The most prominent of which is that many iPhone 4S users even use it once a month. The infographic also shows that only 26% iPhone 4S users use Siri to send or receive Emails. The other which is also explained here is that Data Usage of iPhone 4S is twice as compared to iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4. Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4 is released to Support Untethered Jailbreak of iOS 5.1.1 on A4 Devices Only

Pod2g Along with Chronic Dev Team released Absinthe 2.0 yesterday to Jailbreak iOS 5.1.1. If you are among those users, who are afraid to update to iOS 5.1.1 because they have an iPhone unlocked using Ultrasn0w. Because updating to iOS 5.1.1 will also update their basebands. Well, Thanks to Toronto based hacker, who has released an updated version of Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4 to Jailbreak All iDevice below A5[X] running iOS 5.1.1. It means this tool will not work on iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3 (The New iPad) and Apple TV 3G. You can also preserve your basebands prior to updating your iDevice.

You should also keep in mind that this tool will not work with iPhone 4 [GSM] running iOS 5.1.1 build 9B208. So, we will recommend you to not update your iPhone 4 to latest 9B208. You can download Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4 from the links given at the end of this post. However, Here’s the complete release notes about Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4.

What is New?

  • Added the 5.1.1/9B206 untether that was released with today's absinthe update.

    • iPhone 4 (GSM) & Apple's 5.1.1/9B208 Update:This evening, Apple appears to have (surprisingly) released 5.1.1/9B208 for the iPhone 4 (GSM) exclusively. Although there isn't much of a difference it was enough to make the 9B206 untether payload for the iPhone 4 (GSM) invalidate on 9B208. Until pod2g/planetbeing build an untether payload for this build, 9B208 support is not included. A small update will be pushed whenever this occurs. This doesn't mean the untether was patched though.
    A5(X) Support?:As stated many times in the past, sn0wbreeze cannot be updated to work on A5(X) devices until a low level exploit in DFU or iBoot is found and made public. Therefore, A5(X) users will have to rely on using the lovely absinthe.
    A5(X) Baseband Preservation/Hacktivation?For those running A5(X) devices and need to preserve your baseband, there is nothing you can do at the moment. For those wanting to hacktivate, the only advice I can give is to buy the carrier's SIM (the one its locked to obviously) on ebay. The SIM does not have to be active with the carrier to activate the phone.
